Biography

Dr. Buchanan is a fully trained Neurosurgeon and Psychiatrist. He is trained in and performs all aspects of neurosurgery including those for disorders of the brain, spine, and peripheral nerves. Dr. Buchanan also has subspecialty training and surgical expertise in epilepsy, deep brain stimulation, Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, Tourette syndrome, and dystonia, as well as pain syndromes and OCD. Dr. Buchanan is dedicated to helping patients recover both physically and psychologically.

Dr. Buchanan completed his residencies at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry and the Department of Surgery/Neurosurgery. His fellowships include Yale University School of Medicine, Department of Neurosurgery, in Epilepsy Surgery and Functional Neurosurgery; UCSD Department of Psychiatry and the National Institute of Health (NIH) Psychobiology and Psychopharmacology as well as The Salk Institute for Biological Studies, Post-Doctoral Fellow with the Lab of Genetics. Dr. Buchanan is an Associated Professor at Dell Medical School and in the Department of Psychology and the Institute for Neuroscience at the University of Texas at Austin. He has an Image Guided Transcranial Laboratory at UT where he studies Brain Function and is exploring treatments for epilepsy, psychiatric disease, and movement disorders. Dr. Buchanan is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery.

Biography

Dr. John Lubicky is an orthopedic surgeon in Indianapolis, Indiana and is affiliated with West Virginia University Hospitals. He received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College and has been in practice for 41 years. Dr. Lubicky accepts several types of health insurance, listed below.
